Having secured over $4 Million in five rounds of investment, Yolanda Cooper sat down *virtually* with WWD and Beauty Independent to talk all things WE ARE PARADOXX.

An apt description of Yolanda Cooper's WE ARE PARADOXX, whose plastic-free beauty mission is making a real impression on the haircare industry. From retailers to fundraising, the transparent sit-down with Cooper covers the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. She revealed, "After two-and-a-half years of chasing QVC, I never thought that one random day in December would be the day they said yes, and we would need to ramp up our stock. You can’t plan for that, but it’s about raising enough to be able to make those opportunities happen when they come.”

Since the launch of WE ARE PARADOXX in 2019, tha brand has completed five rounds of funding, amounting to $4 Million from investors like Tom Singh, founder of New Look, and more. Yolanda notes that during her investment journey she was, “comfortable taking on big investment early on knowing it’s going to help me create a much larger business in the end.”

Looking to the future and the expected growth of the haircare sector, Cooper discussed the brands expansion from a 10 product line, to 26 by the end of 2021.
